Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager of Career Coaching supports strategic initiatives to enhance student career readiness, coordinate coaching programs, and integrate career development into academic and co-curricular experiences. This role manages coaching operations, oversees peer-led initiatives, and collaborates across departments to deliver inclusive, high-impact services. The Manager plays a key role in implementing workshops, maintaining faculty relationships, and supporting the integration of career development into the student experience. This position is an in-person position at Post s main campus or downtown Waterbury location.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Leadership, Strategy & Promotion Support hiring and supervision of Career Coaches; manage daily operations and coordinate advisor training with campus partners. Contribute to strategic planning by implementing team-level goals and supporting cross-functional alignment. Apply inclusive coaching practices that support the success of students from diverse backgrounds and career interests. Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance role-specific expertise and contribute to team-wide growth. Assist in coordinating student-facing marketing efforts, including event promotion and outreach in support of coaching initiatives. Student & Alumni Career Development Lead the development and consistency of resume and cover letter review resources; ensure alignment across coaching team practices. Oversee implementation of the Peer Career Coaching Program, supporting the Peer Career Coach Lead with training, operations, and alignment to strategic goals. Coordinate in-person and virtual career readiness workshops, including peer-led initiatives; manage logistics and resources for coaching events. Ensure consistency in coaching documentation, training guides, and advisor-facing materials to support quality and alignment across programs. Oversee the quality, alignment, and consistency of Career Community content on the Career Hub, guiding Career Coaches who develop and maintain community-specific resources, tools, and industry insights. Partnerships & External Engagement Identify employer and alumni pipelines through career communities and coaching; support Employer Relations team in expanding engagement. Manage faculty relationships; coordinate career-aligned classroom content and support assignment integration across academic disciplines. Collaborate with departments and contribute to campus-wide initiatives and committees as appropriate. Data, Systems & Operations Track and report coaching activity, student attendance at workshops, and peer coach engagement metrics to support assessment and continuous improvement. Track and manage spending on coaching programs, peer coach development, and advisor training activities. Manage coaching platforms and Handshake tracking; oversee setup, training, peer usage, and data accuracy to evaluate engagement trends.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
There will be other duties as assigned for the position. This position requires a flexible schedule with some evening and weekend hours to meet the operational needs of the Career Services organization.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education Bachelor s degree required. Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in career development, academic advising, human resources, or a related field Experience coordinating coaching programs, managing peer-led initiatives, and supporting student career readiness. Experience working with diverse student populations and promoting inclusive engagement strategies. Preferred Qualifications Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Experience developing training materials, workshop content, and strategic messaging for student engagement. Ability to collect and report data to inform programming and strategy. Demonstrated success in relationship management and cross-functional collaboration. Familiarity with Handshake, Big Interview, and UConnect for employer engagement and career services delivery Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) for documentation, reporting, and communication M-F, with some weekends and nights
