A.P.). In this vital role, you will provide compassionate support and assistance to adults with developmental disabilities, fostering independence, community engagement, and personal growth. Role Responsibilities Work directly with their assigned G.A.P. group of participants. Lead daily and weekly activities assigned by the G.A.P. Coordinator. Assist with reviewing and monitoring G.A.P. program to meet the needs of the participants. Develop relationships with all G.A.P. participants in the assigned group, including

G.A.P. participants will model your behavior. Maintain professional communication with G.A.P. participants' families, parents, and/or caregivers, under the supervision of the G.A.P. Coordinator. Assist with and give input for the regular assessments of all G.A.P. participants. Ensure that all accidents and incidents are documented and reported. Participate in and assist with G.A.P. special events and outreach events, as assigned. Participate in staff trainings and meetings as requested by G.A.P. and Giborim leadership. Maintain communication with the G.A.P. Coordinator. Perform all other duties as assigned. Maintain confidentiality
Qualifications:
An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Special Education or Education is preferred, with consideration given to candidates holding a Bachelor's degree in Special Education. Candidates with equivalent work experience will be considered. A high school diploma is required. Demonstrated competency and at least two years of experience in Education/Special Education or in a hands-on, direct service position with individuals with developmental disabilities. Special Education/Education Teacher Certification and/or Para-Professional certification preferred. Requires level 2 background screening. Knowledge of varying characteristics and potential behaviors associated with developmental disabilities, and acceptance of the associated risks. Ability to work in an area that generally involves physical activities such as: standing; work entailing pushing and/or pulling of materials up to 50 pounds; lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently; team lifting may be required for heavier lifting; performing work which requires bending, stooping, twisting, and turning; and climbing stairs.
