Job Description

Category Schools - Orientation and Mobility Specialist Job Type Contract Empower students of all ages to navigate their world with confidence as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist in the Oviedo/Sanford region. As part of a flexible, three-week contract, you'll provide essential support for K-12 students, focusing on priority evaluations across multiple schools (exact assignments to be determined). This travel-friendly, on-site position allows for meaningful, impactful work in just 15-20 hours per week—three students per day, three days per week.
Key Qualifications:
Current National Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Licensure Vision certification required Valid driver's license and Social Security card Ability to provide professional license (physical copy) Successful completion of Form 1403 fingerprinting (Contracted Services) and receipt from Field Print location Demographic form and completed I9 sections 1 and 2 Comfortable working with K-12 students Experience in conducting assessments and evaluations in school settings
Responsibilities:
Complete in-depth orientation and mobility evaluations for K-12 students across several campuses Develop individualized recommendations to support student independence and access Document and communicate assessment results and recommendations with school staff Travel to assigned schools in the Oviedo/Sanford areas, maintaining compliance with district credentialing protocols Manage a manageable caseload of three students per day over three days each week This contract role offers the opportunity to share your specialized skills while enjoying a dynamic and supportive environment.
