Jul 24, 2026 Job Description Middle School CTAE Career Development Teacher The Middle School CTAE Career Development Teacher provides engaging, career-focused instruction that helps students discover their interests, talents, and future career opportunities. The teacher designs and delivers project-based learning experiences that allow students to explore career pathways, develop employability skills, and practice technical skills through authentic workplace simulations and hands-on activities. Responsibilities may include creating standards-based lessons that integrate CTAE competencies with core academic standards in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. The teacher administers and interprets aptitude-based assessments and career interest inventories to help students identify strengths, connect personal skills to career pathways, and develop individualized career awareness plans. The successful candidate will establish partnerships with local business and industry leaders, workforce development organizations, postsecondary institutions, and community stakeholders to provide guest speakers, and career exploration experiences that align with regional workforce needs. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of career pathways, labor market trends, employability skills, and career readiness practices. The teacher will utilize technology, data-driven instructional practices, and innovative teaching methods to maximize student engagement and achievement while fostering career awareness and workforce readiness. Qualifications include a clear and renewable Georgia teaching certification, strong communication and collaboration skills, and a commitment to preparing all students for future success in education, careers, and life
