Job Description

Substance Use Disorder Counselor Full-Time | Cuthbert, GA Are you passionate about helping individuals reclaim their lives from substance use disorders? We are seeking a Substance Use Disorder Counselor to provide high-quality counseling, education, and case management services for individuals working toward recovery. Position Details Status:
Full-Time, Non-Exempt Schedule:
Monday-Friday, plus on-call one week per month and one Saturday per month

Reports To:
Program Director What You'll Do As a Substance Use Disorder Counselor, you will play a critical role in the recovery process by: Conducting screenings, intakes, and orientations Providing and documenting individual and group education sessions Delivering case management and clinical documentation in a timely and accurate manner Participating in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings Supporting individuals using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and 12-Step facilitation Connecting clients with community resources and ongoing supports Serving as a positive role model for recovery and healthy living
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC I or II) OR a comparable combination of education, certification, training, and experience Three (3) years of experience working with individuals with substance use disorders Specialized training in addiction services Strong written and verbal communication skills Working knowledge of counseling theories, case management, and recovery-oriented practices Proficiency with basic computer software and online applications Valid Georgia driver's license and ability to meet vehicle insurance requirements
