The starting salary range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Pay Grade:
AK Job Summary Support the development and implementation of career-connected learning by coordinating and managing large-scale Work Based Learning Events, worksite tours, industry engagement activities, and regional workforce partnerships aligned to career pathways. Collaborate with school districts, industry partners, and community organizations to design and deliver meaningful career exploration opportunities while working closely with the DMACC Work-Based Learning team to connect students, educators, and employers and support regional workforce development goals. Essential Functions Plan and execute large-group, multi-school, and off-campus career exploration events, including worksite tours, STEAM Institute programming, Financial Literacy events, Target Your Future events, regional industry-led career exploration events, and career and college showcase, for students across the DMACC service area. Serve as the primary point of contact for event planning, logistics, and communication with schools and employer partners. Develop event timelines, documentation, and communication plans for participating schools and employers. Design and expand Professional Development (PD) experiences for ( CTE ) educators. Develop and maintain relationships with regional employers and industry partners. Coordinate employer participation in job shadows, tours, classroom speakers, and career events. Align employer partnerships with educators to better understand the regional economy, career pathways, and workforce needs. Support delivery of Work-Based Learning services to partner school districts. Collaborate with school counselors, administrators, and teachers to facilitate student participation in Work Based Learning activities. Guide schools in identifying and implementing opportunities for student career exploration and workforce engagement. Collaborate with DMACC Work-Based Learning staff to ensure coordinated service delivery. Maintain cross-training to support continuity across territories. Assist with staff onboarding and transitions as needed. Support continuous improvement efforts by assisting with program evaluation and feedback collection. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and three years of experience in education, career services, workforce development, event planning, communications, or related field. Experience planning, executing, and promoting large-scale or multi-location events, including logistics management and oversight. Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously. Attention to detail and ability to ensure high-quality execution of events. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and to prepare and deliver public presentations. Experience working with high school populations. Experience working with business & industry. Experience in developing and promoting new programs, events, or services within an educational setting. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with a wide variety of individuals, including employers, industry partners, and community partners, with varied backgrounds. Knowledge of current software applications. Valid driver's license and access for regional travel. Desired Qualifications Master's degree. Experience working in both education and business environments. Experience coordinating events, workforce initiatives, or career exploration programs. Knowledge of K-12 education systems and career and technical education programming.
