Job Coach

Job Coaches work one-on-one with our customer employees while on the job, teaching job skills while doing a variety of tasks. Weekend availability is a must. Applicants should possess a willingness and desire to work with people experiencing Mental Illness, Intellectual, and/or Developmental Disabilities. We are looking for self-directed individuals with characteristics of compassion, respect, and problem-solving skills. We have openings for Full Time and for Seasonal staff.

Qualifications:

Be at least 18 years of age Must have a high school diploma or equivalent An Associate's degree in a human services related field is preferred Be a licensed driver with a reliable vehicle and automobile insurance Able to pass a required background check which includes: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse, criminal record, and driving record checks Experience working with people with mental health, intellectual, and/or developmental disabilities preferred Personal computer knowledge is essential: Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Education/Duties:

Must complete a series of paid company trainings while shadowing/learning on the job skills from other job coaches at the work site. Must complete 9.5 hours of paid employment services training as offered through Direct Course or through ACRA certified training program Must complete 4 hours of paid continuing education in employment services annually Provide direct support to customers while they are working without direct line-of-sight supervision Support our customers to achieve the employment goals of their choice We offer a wide array of benefits to full time staff including, but not limited to the following: Company paid life insurance Holiday pay Health, dental and vision insurance (employee/employer shared cost) Paid Time Off Anniversary bonuses
