Overview The Reentry Career Development Specialist (RCDS) coordinates services that support individuals returning to the community after incarceration in Ada and Canyon Counties. This position provides direct client support, facilitates employment and career development services, builds community partnerships, tracks program outcomes, and supports daily office operations. The RCDS reports to the Program Manager and may be required to work occasional evenings and weekends. Duties Client Services & Case Management Serve as a welcoming and supportive resource for program participants. Conduct assessments and develop individualized service plans. Maintain a caseload and provide ongoing coaching, advocacy, and referrals. Connect participants to employment, housing, healthcare, treatment, legal aid, and other support services. Monitor participant progress and maintain accurate client records. Coaching & Group Facilitation Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions. Help participants establish and achieve employment and life goals. Facilitate orientations, workshops, training sessions, and support groups in correctional facilities and community settings. Partnership & Community Engagement Build and maintain relationships with employers, community organizations, and correctional partners. Represent the program at meetings, events, and community forums. Support employer outreach, partner collaboration, and resource development efforts. Data & Reporting Maintain accurate client and program data within the CRM system. Track outcomes, monitor service delivery, and assist with monthly reporting. Support continuous improvement through data collection and analysis. Leadership & Team Support Assist with staff onboarding, training, and supervision of support staff and AmeriCorps members. Provide coverage and support for team members as needed. Assist with volunteer engagement and special events. Physical Requirements Long, extended periods of sitting while using the computer. Regularly lifting and moving objects up to 50 lbs. Frequent walking, standing, bending and kneeling to set up events if needed. High level of manual dexterity for typing, filing and operating office equipment. Must be available for occasional evenings, weekends and events; 40+ hours weekly. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Criminology, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Minimum three years of experience working with justice-involved individuals or related populations. Knowledge of reentry services, community resources, workforce development, and public benefits. Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and relationship-building skills. Experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and data management. Ability to obtain correctional facility clearance and maintain a valid driver's license, insurance, and acceptable driving record.
