  • College & Career Coordinator Position Summary The College & Career Coordinator leads schoolwide efforts to ensure all students graduate with a clear postsecondary plan.
This position supports college readiness, career exploration, and workforce connections aligned to Idaho standards and local industry needs. Key Responsibilities Guide students in college planning, applications, scholarships, and financial aid (FAFSA) Support career exploration, including internships, apprenticeships, and job shadow opportunities Teach and reinforce job readiness skills (resumes, interviewing, professionalism) Build and maintain partnerships with local businesses, colleges, and training programs Coordinate college visits, career fairs, and guest speakers Monitor and track student progress toward graduation and postsecondary readiness goals Support CTE pathways, dual credit, and industry certification opportunities Maintain accurate data on student outcomes, including post-high school plans Collaborate with counselors, staff, and administration to align supports for students Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or a related field (required) Experience working with high school students preferred Background in career readiness programs or industry partnerships strongly preferred Valid Idaho teaching certification or counselor endorsement may be required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of Idaho graduation requirements and postsecondary pathways Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Ability to organize programs and manage multiple priorities Proficiency with student information systems and standard technology tools Ability to connect student interests with workforce and education opportunities Requirements Successful completion of criminal background check and fingerprinting Core Focus Ensure every Emmett High School student leaves with a clear, actionable plan for college, career, or military success.
