Job Description

Job Summary General Summary/basic
PURPOSE OF JOB
As part of the Revenue Cycle, the training coordinator will be responsible for the overall training of all patient access related activities. This includes but is not limited to new hire onboarding, specific programs and requirements for the job role, department related initiatives, insurance related changes, system-wide initiatives and any other function related to Patient Access within the system. This position will report to the System Director of Patient Access but will be required to train outside of MSH/HCH; the training will include Schwab and SMG as needed after review of needs by management. This position must have the ability to work independently and travel to locations as needed. This will also require flexibility for staff that is considered nontraditional business hours. The Training Coordinator will review incoming rejected claims and denials to determine trendy opportunities for education.
MINIMUM Education:
Associate degree in a related field or 7-10 years in a hospital setting, including strong insurance related positions
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
7-10 years in the healthcare-related field.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
In-depth knowledge of insurance rules, payer contracts and uninsured policies. Knowledge of community-based needs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Proficient in Next Gen and Meditech
