TESTING SPECIALIST TRUMAN COLLEGE
Truman College, one of the City Colleges of Chicago, seeks a qualified Testing Specialist responsible for providing overall supervision of the Placement Testing Center. While this position will primarily support testing operations for college credit students, the Testing Specialist will also be expected to be familiar with testing services for adult education students.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Organizes testing schedules, interprets scores, completes specialized testing reports, and directs students for additional testing or counseling. Proctors exams and trains all proctors in appropriate testing procedures. Supervises work study staff assigned to the department. Performs related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree required with coursework in business, human relations, or psychology supplemented by four years of experience in student services. Bachelor's Degree highly desirable in business, psychology, or a related area supplemented by three years of experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required along with the ability to communicate semi-complicated information to varied audiences. Strong analytical and problem solving skills needed to resolve student problems and concerns. Must be computer literate with demonstrated experience in applicable software. This position is represented by the Local 1600 Professional Employee Union. The starting salary for this position is between $41,181.00 and $45,299.10. The offered salary will be determined by the respective collective bargaining agreement and applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
