This job is located in Peoria,IL Monday-Friday 8-4:30
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Industrial Rehabilitation Services Associate is responsible for the administrative functions of the industrial rehabilitation program. Responsibilities include the coordination of authorization and billing services for the Industrial Rehabilitation Service Line in coordination and Worker’s Compensation with all other entities.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School/GED Experience:
Minimum of 1 year experience in an office clerical setting or customer service environment. Experience with office applications and Internet. Requires basic knowledge of standard PC word processing and website navigation. Within 1 year of date of hire, complete required revenue cycle education provided by department and obtains corresponding certification. Willingness to learn and maintain knowledge of industrial rehab services and workers compensation. Requires strong attention to detail and ability to obtain and record information accurately. Requires communication skills to clearly and concisely communicate verbally and in writing with peers, supervisors, payors, physicians, patients, other departments, etc. Ability to understand, interpret, evaluate and resolve basic patient service issues including involving leadership as appropriate. Basic problem solving skills to address payor and patient issues appropriately and know when to ask for assistance. Conflict management and time management skills. Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with physicians, patients and families in providing authorization and billing information as appropriate and to communicate effectively with clients and families when providing industrial rehab services and with other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging client information. Administrative skills as well as oral, written communication and organizational skills.

Experience with medical billing, including working with insurance companies, third party administrators, and collections with heavy emphasis on customer phone contact. Experience working in a medical setting. Experience in scheduling and/or registration. Experience working with an electronic medical record system.
