Job Description

Qualifications:
Required Experience in Career & Technical Education (CTE), workforce development, guidance, or academic counseling Knowledge of Indiana Graduation Pathways and Work-Based Learning requirements Experience building partnerships with business and industry Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills Preferred Bachelor's degree (or ability to obtain) in Education, Business Administration, Career & Technical Education, or related field Valid Indiana teaching license (or ability to obtain) Experience working with high school students Written and spoken ability to communicate proficiently in
Spanish Duties:
Collaborate with postsecondary partners to create seamless transitions from high school to college and careers Ensure all WBL experiences meet Indiana Department of Education guidelines and Century Career Center (CCC) program expectations Coordinate, develop, and oversee individualized WBL training plans Assist LHS and CCC in identifying, recruiting, and placing students into high-quality work-based learning experiences Monitor student progress through site visits, evaluations, and regular communication with employers Organize and oversee WBL experiences, including university partnerships (e.g., Tomorrow's Teachers, part-time employment, and dual credit pathways) Support students in earning credentials, certifications, and college credit through integrated experiences Maintain accurate records (Pathways
K12, INTERS
) of student placements, hours, evaluations, and outcomes Provide coaching on employability skills, including professionalism, communication, time management, and workplace expectations Collaborate with counselors to align WBL experiences with Graduation Pathways and postsecondary plans Collaborate directly with CCC instructors and leadership to align WBL experiences Develop career-connected opportunities that extend CCC classroom learning into real-world application Support students in transitioning from CCC coursework into internships, apprenticeships, and employment Ensure WBL placements reflect high-demand, high-wage, and high-skill career pathways Build and sustain strong partnerships with local employers aligned to CCC program areas (e.g., manufacturing, healthcare, construction, IT, education, etc.) Serve as the liaison between LHS/CCC and business partners to ensure meaningful, standards-aligned experiences Expand opportunities for internships, job shadowing, clinicals, and apprenticeships tied to CCC pathways Coordinate employer engagement events such as career fairs, industry panels, and mock interviews in partnership with LHS/CCC Track participation and success data, particularly for CCC students, to inform program growth Support grant initiatives and workforce development partnerships connected to CCC and district priorities Assist with implementation of career planning tools (e.g., Xello or similar platforms) Other duties as assigned
