Full-time Position:
Therapist II or III Regional Health Systems is Northwest Indiana's largest provider of community-based mental health care, primary health care and addiction treatment services. We offer adults and children—both uninsured and insured—integrated care through our community mental health center and federally qualified health center. Regional Health Systems is a member of the Regional Care Group .
Position Purpose:
To provide direct clinical and consultation services, documentation thereof, and participate in facility and program requirements and responsibilities as assigned. ​Someone in this position should ideally have prior experience as a supported education or supported employment specialist or as a vocational specialist. He or she needs a recovery orientation and will focus on assisting participants to achieve recovery goals related to education and employment, using the IPS (Individual Placement and Support) model as much as possible. The SEE position involves a majority of work outside the office, including doing job finding, job development, school finding, school opportunity development, and in vivo training in interviewing skills. In addition, the SEE provides follow up supports to individuals who have attained a job or who are enrolled in school. Because of the nature of this job, SEE specialists need to work directly in the community with employers and potential employers and educational personnel and spend the majority of their time out of the office. They also need to take clients into the community for activities related to work opportunities or school opportunities. They should not expect to do their job from behind a desk.
