Horizons Reno County Full Time Equivalent (FTE): 1 Job position summary: The Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Specialist delivers Supported Employment services and job placement assistance to individuals, who desire to find meaningful work thru the establishment of partnerships with local businesses and Vocational Rehabilitation, alongside the IPS Program Manager and other IPS Specialists. Essential Responsibilities:

Initiate and maintain relationships with employers to facilitate job placement of consumers. Work with employers to set up job sites which are compatible with consumers' wants and reasonable accommodation through education and supporting employers. Provide on the job coaching/education/training to any consumers who are enrolled in the IPS Employment Program. Establish and maintain relationships with community agencies related to the project (i.e. KRS, employment services, Social Security Administration, etc) Deliver Individual Placement and Support services to clients which includes, but is not limited to: resume building, developing interview skills, job hunting/application processes, interview follow-up, orientation for new employees. Be devoted to providing person-centered, trauma-informed, culturally aware service. Collaborate with other Direct Service providers and Treatment Teams to ensure that all client care is a team approach. Participate in the development and maintenance of a client-centered Treatment Plan along with the family and treatment team Work alongside the IPS Steering Committee to continue to develop the IPS program and provide necessary feedback regarding client care, best practices, ideas/opinions about program growth and change, etc… Under the direction of the IPS Program Manager, stay informed about IPS Evidence Based Practice fidelity standards and be an active part of helping obtain fidelity. Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values. Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI). Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience One of the following is required: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Social Work, Psychology, or some related field Associate's degree with an additional 2 or more years' experience working with educating and teaching clients about self-care, improving daily living activities Total combined years of schooling and experience (working with educating and teaching clients about self-care, improving daily living activities) equals 4 or more years. Required License/Certifications/Registrations If the individual does not have current case management training the employee must complete, within 30 days, CPST Case Management on-line training, KHS on-line training. Within 60 days of employment, the employee must have completed Adult Case Management training. Valid driver's license, insurance and a dependable vehicle
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or Special Education (with specialized training in human development and family dynamics). Relevant experience regarding education about employment practices, job placement, interview skills, resume building. Experience building partnerships with community partners. Preferred License/Certifications/Registrations Current MANDT certification
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong organizational skills. Good time management skills. Experience working with educating/teaching clients about improving daily living skills and implementing newly learned skills. Proficient in electronic documentation, good computer proficiency.
