St. Gabriel Catholic School is a Pre-School-8th Blue Ribbon School of Excellence of approximately 700 students in Fern Creek. Key responsibilities of this position include: Maintain appropriate records regarding students with special needs Monitor Student Accommodation Plans and Student Support Plans for students with special needs Work with teachers and parents to develop and monitor supports for students Screenings for incoming student applications Coordinate with outside agencies for student services

Qualifications:

Kentucky teacher certification in elementary or middle grades Master's degree or higher in special education or related field Three years or more successful experience as a classroom teacher Strong written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of appropriate pedagogy that will address achievement and opportunity gaps Must be able to work independently, create and collaborate with colleagues, meet deadlines, and display excellent customer service Desired qualifications: Gifted/ Talented Certification, RTI training and/ or experience, mentoring experience Must attend Safe Environment training and submit to a background check
