Aug 31, 2026 Job Description The Career Specialist works as part of the AASCTP team and with their high school staff to assist students with job related skills and job placements. This role requires working directly with students and staff in both one-on-one settings and classroom settings. In addition, the career specialist will be reaching out to community partners and local businesses to support students and school programming. This is a school year position with the opportunity to work a reduced schedule 5 weeks over the summer. This position will be located in Seekonk High School.
Essential Job Functions:
Work effectively with employers, students, school personnel and business partners Placement and monitoring of students in their internships/jobs Maintaining database of placements Assist students with job readiness skills Ability to coordinate simultaneous programming including: Job Shadows Internships Career Days Job Fairs Visit worksites in the community
Requirements:
Associate's degree or commensurate experience Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Familiar with Google Suite Reliable transportation
Skills Required:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Accurate data management and attention to detail Strong team player Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Work independently on a daily basis Self-Starter Must be comfortable speaking in a classroom
