About the Role This is more than a job—You'll be the voice for those we serve, ensuring their rights are upheld, and their environments are safe, respectful, and empowering. As a Quality and Rights Specialist , lead efforts in consumer advocacy, rights protection, and quality improvement for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health needs. This is a mission-driven role with statewide impact. You'll champion continuous quality improvement, guide mid-level managers, conduct rights audits, and lead internal investigations to ensure our mission is executed. Why Spectrum? - Including Juneteenth Paid Training & Professional Development Career Advancement Opportunities Mileage Reimbursement What You'll Do Serve as a consumer advocate and lead internal rights investigations Review incident reports and ensure timely, thorough follow-up Train and support staff on rights protection and due process Conduct rights audits and represent Spectrum during inspections Collaborate with state and local agencies (DHHS, CMH, LARA, ORR, etc.
) Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives Travel regularly to homes and community agencies. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Human Services (preferred but not required) or High School Diploma with 8+ years of relevant experience 5+ years in the Human Services field, with direct experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illness Deep knowledge of Michigan's Mental Health Code , licensing rules, and consumer rights Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Flexibility to travel and adapt to a dynamic schedule Ready to Make a Difference?
