As a Job Developer at Dutton Farm, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with disabilities discover their strengths, explore career interests, and achieve successful, long-term employment in the community. You will work directly with participants and employers to build inclusive workplaces, foster independence, and support a person-centered approach to career development.
What you would do:
You will guide participants through the Discovery process to identify their interests, skills, and job preferences. You will collaborate with the Job Developer Manager to identify meaningful job opportunities and build strong employer partnerships. You will conduct intake interviews and assessments with new participants. You will coordinate and oversee interviews and onboarding for job seekers. You will support participants and Job Coaches on the first day of employment to ensure a smooth transition. You will facilitate all required employment documentation between participants, employers, and the organization. You will maintain accurate case notes, progress reports, and ongoing communication with the Workforce Development team. You will step in to substitute for Job Coaches as needed to ensure consistent participant support and program continuity. You may need to be available weekends and/or evenings
Education:
You will have a Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
You need at least 1-2 years of experience working in a nonprofit, human services, or community-based setting. You need experience supporting individuals with disabilities, barriers to employment, or diverse populations. You need experience in job development, workforce development, case management, or a related field (preferred). You need to be comfortable working with community partners and employers to build inclusive opportunities.
