SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Will work with individuals at their place of employment to teach appropriate work behavior and social skills to ensure quality job performance. May assist with an individual's micro enterprise, which includes marketing products and completing ledgers. Will be involved in person-centered planning meetings and will assist individuals served with their dreams, desires, and needs related to community employment goals. Serves as a liaison with employers and NeMCMA employment staff. Ensures the safety of individuals served and reports any safety concerns to the employer and employment services staff. Facilitates natural supports in the workplace and community. Will monitor and update the task analysis/job description and provide regular updates on job tasks to employment service staff. Will assist with reasonable job accommodations when necessary. May provide services in other programs as necessary to facilitate individuals and scheduling needs.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience:
Knowledge of Intellectual/developmental disabilities and mental illness preferred. Lived experience with mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or substance use disorders is valued.
Other:
Good organizational and communication skills required. Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record as determined by the agency.
Essential Functions:
Demonstrates effective coordination of community employment services that adhere to person-centered planning through collaboration with individuals and/or parents/guardians, Case Managers, clinicians, and other community organizations. Demonstrate effective case recording in accordance with Person Centered Planning, and NeMCMHA "Case Recording Guidelines". Serves as a liaison with employers and NeMCMHA employment staff and maintains professional relationships. Support individuals with specialized transportation needs. Assist the community employment program in efforts to increase public awareness and acceptance of inclusion in competitive integrated employment. May be required to work an unusual work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Demonstrates knowledge of universal precautions, standards of practice, including but not limited to confidentiality and recipient rights, and emergency protocol.
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Performs other related duties as required. May be requested to be involved in the Board's continuous quality improvement program. May be required to provide own transportation while performing agency-related duties.
