SALARY RANGE
$80,000 - $95,000
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Knowledge of local community resources, opportunities, and programs related to college and career readiness and employment. Experience working with students and/or staff in E-12 public schools or post-secondary settings. Preferred Master's or additional Licensure/Certification in a related field, such as Vocational Director. Knowledge of Career and Technical Education (CTE) and transitional programming for all students, including underserved and those with special needs Experience with writing and implementing grants. Knowledge and experience in supporting school implementation of the Minnesota Department of Education's Career and College Competencies. Knowledge of college and career assessment tools. Teaching license in a related field, such as CTE, Career Pathways, Counseling or Work Experience.
POSITION SUMMARY
The College and Career Readiness Coordinator supports the district's 4th Pillar of the
Strategic Vision:
Career and Post-Secondary Education. This role serves as a key facilitator for district-wide student pathways, helping to design and maintain E-12 learning experiences that connect students to local employment and future career opportunities. The Coordinator assists in the management of career-focused grants, supports CTE staff, and works alongside families, industry partners, and higher education to ensure every student graduates with a clear, actionable Personal Learning Plan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Strategic Support & Program Facilitation Vision Implementation:
Assists in carrying out the district's strategic goals for career and post-secondary readiness as directed by leadership.
Technical Resource:
Serves as a departmental resource for CTE (Career and Technical Education), Perkins V compliance, and Direct Admissions.
Scheduling Recommendations:
Collaborates with the Secondary Assistant Superintendent and K-12 Director by providing data-driven recommendations for master scheduling and course proposals aligned with workforce trends and district needs.
Grant Coordination & Fiscal Monitoring Grant Administration:
Coordinates the application, reporting, and reimbursement cycles for Perkins, GearUp, and YST grants to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Resource Coordination:
Processes teacher requests for CTE equipment and resources, ensuring requests are aligned with budget, program goals and approval.
Budget Tracking:
Monitors Perkins Grant budget and works with the local Perkins Consortium as a liaison of the school district.
Partnership & Community Engagement Industry Liaison:
Acts as a point of contact for local industry partners to coordinate district events (future100, JrTour, internships, tours, etc.)
Post-Secondary Transitions:
Supports dual-credit opportunities by coordinating with local higher education partners.
Committee Support:
Facilitates the Employer Advisory Committee and represents the district on multiple advisory committees.
Programmatic Support & Student Planning Curriculum Assistance:
Supports the development of high-demand courses and state requirements through district and state reporting. Personal Learning Plans (PLP): Works alongside school counselors and staff to help students establish and maintain their PLPs.
Pathway Coordinators:
works regularly with High School and Middle School Pathway coordinators to align pathway work and efforts across the district.
CTE Teacher Support:
Provides support and guidance to CTE teachers, supporting curriculum, equipment and advisories to ensure industry standards. Recruit and retain staff who are passionate about student experiential learning.
District Support:
advocate for CTE teachers and CTE programming in master scheduling. Other duties as assigned
