Mental Health Resources, Inc. is looking for a full-time person to provide services to persons diagnosed with a serious and persistent mental illness. This service is provided in a day program setting, assisting the person with mental illness to adjust to community living as well as coordinating social and recreational activities. Hours are 8am
  • 4pm, Monday-Friday.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Drives van to transport consumers to and from the program and community activities Prepares, plan and assists in the preparation of meals Facilitates groups as scheduled Treats the individual with dignity and respect Attends and participates in team and employee meetings Follow procedures for crisis intervention and will seek team/QMHP for consultation/resolution Assists with program development, i.e. creating new groups, coordinating special events and outings. Assists in development of psycho-educational groups to assist clients in socialization, health management, and development of adult daily living skills. Assists in outreach services to clients who have been absent from day program, inviting them to come back. Helps clients network with other clinical and support services as needed. Effective in crisis situations, locating and coordinating services to resolve client crisis. Provides direction and resources needed by clients to help them grow toward empowerment. Insures that all clients know their rights and responsibilities and are treated with dignity and respect. Enjoys working with groups of people, personable, and outgoing. Encourages and assists clients in the development of community integration skills through management of community activities. Proficient in documentation and Microsoft Office Suite Maintain required CEU's, CPR and first aid, Class E drivers license
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent education and experience preferred High School diploma or equivalent required
