Responsibilities - What you'll do The ideal candidate will demonstrate a number of key attributes, including an enthusiasm to contribute positively to DHEWD's workplace culture, relevant experience and education or training, and supportive skills To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. Serve as the primary outreach personnel for apprenticeship programs for employers, partners, and possibly apprentices Assist in the development and implementation of an apprenticeship outreach plan to inform employers and the public at large of the benefits of apprenticeships Assist in the development of registered apprenticeships and pre-apprenticeship programs across the State of Missouri Attend statewide and regional meetings and events to meet with industry representatives, labor unions, educational providers, and companies. Will require gathering information regarding industry needs to promote the use of apprenticeships as a workforce development strategy Meet with employers across the State of Missouri to provide apprenticeship information, connect employers with continued interest to the United States Department of Labor (USDOL), Office of Apprenticeship partners, and bring local workforce staff to discussions as necessary Stay informed of current apprenticeship resources and connect apprenticeship partners with appropriate resources, partners, and other assistance Present at conferences and conduct informational sessions, as required by OWD Provide training and technical assistance to local Job Center, Workforce Development Board, and state agencies as needed Maintain and produce records and reports regarding outreach and engagement activities and performance, provide reports upon request by management and stakeholders, and assist to prepare and federal or state reports as needed Interpret and implement federal and state statutes, regulations and guidance regarding registered apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs Assist in the development of policies and procedures for OWD as needed Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all partners and employers, including USDOL-Office of Apprenticeship, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, local Workforce Development Boards, Job Center staff, local business outreach teams and other service providers Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance Perform other related work as assigned Qualifications - All you need for success Beneficial education and/or work-related experience includes technical or professional experience in business, personnel, public administration, or closely related area, including military service.
