This position provides trauma-informed leadership, coaching, mentorship, and other workforce development support to individuals with lived experience of homelessness, substance use disorder, justice involvement, mental health challenges, and other barriers to employment. The ANCHORWorks Manager serves as both a program leader and mentor, fostering a supportive work environment that promotes personal growth, skill development, long-term recovery, and economic self-sufficiency. The manager ensures operation excellence, participant success, inventory management, data collection, and continuous program improvement.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Workforce Development Leadership Oversee daily operations of ANCHORWorks workforce development programs and employment pathways. Supervise participants, trainees, and staff involved in workforce development activities. Ensure workforce development programming aligns with organizational goals and community needs. Create a positive, supportive, and accountability-focused workplace culture. Support participant retention, job readiness, and successful transitions into competitive employment. Coordinate workforce training opportunities, certifications, and professional development activities. Participant Coaching and Mentorship Provide individualized coaching and mentorship to participants navigating barriers to employment. Utility trauma-informed and recovery-oriented practices when engaging participants. Support participants in developing workplace readiness skills, including communication, time management, professionalism, and conflict resolution. Assist participants in setting and achieving personal, educational, employment, and recovery goals. Provide encouragement, accountability, and guidance throughout the workforce development journey. Facilitate curriculum-based training focused on life skills, workforce readiness, recovery support, and personal development. Trauma-Informed and Recovery-Oriented Support Foster a culture of dignity, respect, empowerment, and inclusion. Apply trauma-informed care principles in all interactions with participants and staff. Support individuals with lived experience of homelessness, substance use disorder, justice involvement, mental health challenges, and poverty. Recognize and respond appropriately to participant needs while maintaining professional boundaries. Collaborate with case managers, peer support specialists, treatment providers, and community partners to support participant success. Program Operations and Inventory Management Maintain inventory and supplies needed for workforce development activities and contracts. Order materials, equipment, uniforms, safety supplies, and other operational necessities. Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records. Ensure compliance with safety standards and organizational policies. Coordinate scheduling, work assignments, and participant attendance. Employee and Participant Supervision Monitor participant performance and workplace engagement. Conduct regular coaching sessions and performance reviews. Address workplace concerns and provide constructive feedback. Promote professional growth and skill development among participants and staff. Assist with onboarding, training, and orientation processes. Data Collection and Evaluation Collect, track, and maintain participant and program data. Monitor key performance indicators and workforce development outcomes. Assist with grant reporting and evaluation requirements. Support continuous quality improvement efforts. Prepare reports documenting participant progress, employment outcomes, and program impact. Utilize data to identify opportunities for growth, sustainability, and program enhancement. Community and Partnership Engagement Develop and maintain positive relationships with employers, training providers, and community partners. Support job placement and employment retention efforts. Represent ANCHORWorks professionally within the community. Assist with outreach, recruitment, and participant engagement activities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Workforce Development, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education, professional experience, and lived experience will be considered. Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness, substance use disorder, justice involvement, mental health challenges, or other barriers to employment. Experience supervising staff, trainees, or program participants. Experience in workforce development, employment services, vocational rehabilitation, or recovery support programs preferred.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and their practical application. Understanding of recovery-oriented systems of care and harm reduction practices. Familiarity with workforce development strategies and employment readiness programming. Strong coaching, mentoring, and motivational interviewing skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience with data collection, reporting, and program evaluation. Ability to build and maintain relationships with participants, employers, and community partners. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data management systems.

The role requires the ability to stand, walk, and navigate various work sites for extended periods. Occasional lifting and carrying of supplies and materials up to 25 pounds may be required. The position also requires the ability to travel locally to training sites, employer locations, and community partner meetings as needed.
