You will help create opportunities for fellow Nebraskans by developing and promoting Career Center services to job seekers, employers, and partners. This position will also partner with the Nebraska Lottery to assist lottery winners in filling out and submitting the necessary forms to collect any winnings. • Training and Development based on your career aspirations Examples of Work Perform case management of clients; research and recommend clients for intensive and various training services including Re-Employment Services, Workfare, Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC), Rapid Response, Veterans and Workforce Investment Act (WIA) which requires in-depth case management and vocational guidance.

Screen applicants for eligibility for partner programs and utilizes vocational guidance tools to assist applicants with core intensive services; work closely with partners in coordinating services of mutual clients. Perform job search/matching activities for employers and applicants including registration, job referrals and job development. Administer assessment instruments (tests, surveys, etc.) and other planning tools; interpret results and counsel clients. Receive and verify job orders from employers and enter information into various computer programs as needed. Match qualified applicants to employers' job orders. Coordinate services with local community development entities to promote community growth. Utilize various means of technology to provide needed data. Market Career Center services to the community and employers; contact, schedule and conduct visits with employers to explain staff-assisted and self-service service options. Advocate as business liaison to oversee One Stop Center marketing; coordinate visits, offer special products and market services to area business community. Develop and maintain shared employer database and oversee coordination of marketing efforts among partners; promote cost reimbursable services such as background checks; develop OJT contracts and work experience training opportunities for clients; and perform follow up activities. Plan, implement and present workshops relevant to business and job seeker needs; plan and present presentations at schools, job fairs, etc. and develop informational briefings/presentations to promote workforce development services. Coordinate WIA services with other partners serving clients; assist in obtaining Pell Grants, Rambo, and other funding to facilitate schooling; arrange for payment of books and tuition. Handle federal mandates on client satisfaction measurement; monitor delivery of educational services and develops individual employment plan (IEP) to establish plan for academic and vocational performance. Perform WIA and/or Employment Services (ES) core services including client registration, eligibility, assessments and employment statistics information. Conduct presentations and perform out-reach activities through membership on various advisory boards, committees and community organizations. Perform data entry and retrieval activities for various programs as necessary. Scan lottery tickets at terminal to verify it is a winning ticket. Provide the player with the winner claim form to fill out. Scan and email the claim form and ticket to the Nebraska Lottery office for processing. Provide player with warrant (winnings).

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Post high school coursework or training in social/behavioral sciences, counseling, business, public administration, education, marketing, or a related field; or experience in client development and case management including interviewing, research, and direct customer service.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree or higher in human resources, behavioral science, business administration, communication, education, marketing, or related field. Experience working with workforce development programs, including WIOA, VETS, or DOL grants, working with individuals who face employment barriers; working in outreach, recruiting, sales, or employer engagement. English/Spanish bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Other:

Must have a valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation. Knowledge, skills, and abilities
