Located near Concord, NH, this contract opportunity places you at the heart of student development, focusing on college and career readiness. In this engaging role, you'll support students' journeys toward post-secondary opportunities while providing crucial guidance and encouragement. With an emphasis on individualized student support, your expertise will empower young people as they navigate important academic and life decisions.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience working as a school counselor, preferably within middle or high school settings Strong background in college and career guidance, including knowledge of current trends and requirements Proficiency in credit monitoring and transcript management Familiarity with the college admissions process, including FAFSA counseling Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Compassionate and student-focused, with the ability to build trust and positive relationships
Key Responsibilities:
Guide students through post-secondary planning—including credit checks, transcript review, and college application support Conduct informative sessions on financial aid, scholarship opportunities, and FAFSA completion Assist students in setting and reaching academic and career goals Collaborate with educators, families, and local colleges to coordinate resources and opportunities for students Maintain accurate records and support documentation in compliance with school policies Step into a role that gives you the fulfillment of making a real difference in students' lives—all with a flexible part-time schedule of approximately 30 hours per week.
