Responsibilities:
The Extended Learning Opportunities (ELO) Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and promoting experiential learning opportunities that support students' career exploration and post-secondary transition planning. These opportunities include internships, Teacher Aides, independent study, job shadows, apprenticeships, volunteer experiences, and project-based learning. The ELO Coordinator oversees career-focused programs and activities, including career fairs, trade and industry field trips, community service initiatives, volunteer opportunities, and the school store. The Coordinator works closely with students, families, businesses, community organizations, and government agencies to expand meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining partnerships with local employers and community organizations, ensuring compliance with state requirements in collaboration with the Department of Labor, and supporting students in developing career readiness, life skills, community engagement, and successful post-secondary transitions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred Experience in Education, human services, workforce development, or a related field preferred Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills Experience working with adolescents and community partners is highly desirable Salary and Benefits Full-time, 210-day contract position Competitive salary commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package Competitive salary between $50,000 to $60,000 depending on experience.
