Job Description
Description Behavior Specialist Description Citizenship and Science Academy of Syracuse is excited to announce the opening of a Behavior Specialist role for the 2026-2027 Academic Year. We have a great environment for new staff and we encourage you to apply! We need a professional who will:
- Consistently implement our code of conduct.
- Train and educate all stakeholders about the implementation of the student code of conduct.
- Be visible and accessible to the students and staff.
- Analyze data to identify trends in behavior, make necessary adjustments, and implement an action plan.
- Identify students with behavior and establish corrective plans for individuals or groups.
- Develop positive relationships with the students and parents to foster a respectful and professional school environment.
- Work with school counselors and teachers collaboratively to develop and help implement the RTI process for individuals or groups.
- Support and work collaboratively with administrators, teachers, and parents while demonstrating a professional manner. What we can provide

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Experience with diverse population of students or in an urban setting a plus.
- Fingerprint clearance through
NYS Department of Education Competencies:
