Community Integration Specialist (Disability Services) At Goodwill Columbus, our team supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) as they build skills, confidence, and meaningful connections in their community. This work is about respect, dignity, and helping people live more independent, fulfilling lives. Full-time (40 hours/week) — occasional evenings/weekends

Overview We're hiring a Community Integration Specialist to support individuals receiving services to become more active, confident, and connected within their community. If you enjoy being part of the community, love helping others reach their goals, and want a meaningful career in disability services, this could be an excellent fit. What You'll Do Support individuals in the community as they attend classes, participate in events, volunteer, and enjoy their hobbies. Help people build independent living skills including planning, communication, and basic money management. Encourage friendships, social engagement, and stronger community connections. Provide safe, reliable transportation to community outings and activities. Document progress through their Individualized Service Plan (ISP). Work closely with families and disability service stakeholders to support each person's goals. You'll Be a Great Fit If You Are compassionate, dependable, and patient. Enjoy being out in the community rather than sitting behind a desk. Communicate clearly and stay calm during stressful or unexpected moments. Enjoy helping people learn, grow, and build confidence. Requirements High school diploma or GED. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to pass background checks required for disability services roles. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office & web based applications). Experience in disability services helpful but not required — paid training provided. Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance.
