Job Description

Job Overview Responsible for training and working alongside Via employees at their daily employment. Provides-on-the job support and development to increase their job satisfaction and community interaction. Responsibilities Assist Via employees in learning their jobs in a partnered community business. Receive and sign in/out med boxes once Via employees arrive at work. Once MAT training is complete, administer medications for Via employees and fill out MARS documentation. Protect the privacy and confidentiality of information pertaining to the individuals and facility information and records. Maintain a safe and secure working environment and practice safe working habits. Must comply with the Via Employment Opportunities attendance policy. Maintain a neat appearance, good personal hygiene, and appropriate attire. Participate in training, in-services, and meetings as required. Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed. Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the Via Employment Opportunities values of teamwork, respect, integrity, compassion, and kindness. Maintain current and accurate documentation based on program/contract requirements. Possible transport individual to and from job site Requirements Basic knowledge of serving individuals with developmental disabilities. High school diploma or GED. At least one year of experience in a related field is preferred. Must have reliable transportation, valid Oklahoma driver's license, auto insurance as required by the State of Oklahoma, must pass OSBI background check, and no prior listing on the Oklahoma Community Registry. Must utilize good communication skills and be a team player. Must complete, at the Via Employment Opportunities expense, all state mandated training within the timeframes specified, including Medication Administration Training, CPR & 1 Aid, MOPI, and other state required training. Physical requirements include frequent bending, standing, walking; continuous ability for speech communication and hearing to communicate with Via employees and the public, vision for reading, recording and interpreting information, ability to stand for long hours at a time, and the ability to lift/carry a maximum of 40 pounds.
