Coos Bay/North Bend In order to best support individuals with disabilities in acquiring inclusive, meaningful employment, an Employment Specialist performs the following duties: Communicate on a regular basis with support services personal agents, co-workers, and vocational rehabilitation counselors, families, client case managers, and networks of support to report progress and identify solutions to employment barriers. Develop and maintain written Vocational Profiles for all individuals receiving job development services. Utilize the principles of individualized job development to negotiate jobs for people referred to BAE by Vocational Rehabilitation and other agencies. Hands-on training and shadowing will be provided. Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with Vocational Rehabilitation and local placement agencies. Build relationships with employers to facilitate skill building, assessments, and job placements. Paid certification training will be provided. Meet with community partner agencies. Perform all other duties as assigned to ensure that the department and organizational strategic goals and mission are met. May provide assistance to clients in learning their job duties.

Requires:

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to work. Must be able to pass federal, state, and local background checks. Must pass drug test (excluding THC). Random drug testing may occur. High School Diploma Required.

Preferred:
