Do you want to support a charismatic individual in reaching her employment goals and support her independence? Then this could be the position for you. We are seeking a dedicated and consistent Job Coach to support Kate, a 47-year-old woman in Drexel Hill, PA, who takes great pride in her part-time customer service employment at Wawa. The successful candidate will provide on-site coaching to help Kate maintain her current duties—such as food preparation, stocking, and cleaning—while supporting her in learning new skills like the store's computer systems and back-room operations. A primary goal of this position is to foster independence, specifically by helping Kate learn new skills and support her with communicating with her manager. It is essential that the applicant provides consistent staffing, as changes in support personnel are difficult for Kate. The ideal coach must be patient and capable of offering reassurance to manage anxiety, utilizing detailed but simple explanations—often written down—to ensure clear communication. Furthermore, the coach must be mindful of Kate's physical limitations, including carpal tunnel and arthritis, to ensure work tasks do not exceed her stamina.

Hours and pay:

1 hour per week Tuesday, Fri and Saturday ( one of these days per week) $ 26.00 / hr

Requirements:

ACRE Certification is required Must be punctual, personable and professional Please note the family prefers candidates to provide references upon request
