ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, PRIMARYRESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES
The Pre-College Coordinator plays a key role in strengthening and expanding LackawannaCollege's Pre-College Program by building meaningful relationships with high schools and career and technical centers (CTCs) across anassigned region of Pennsylvania. This position serves as a connector between schools, students, families, and the College, supportingawareness, participation, and a positive Pre-College experience through clear communication, collaboration, and responsive support. This remote position focuses on the Southwest Pennsylvania market. Applicants must be located in or near the Johnstown, Greensburg, orIndiana areas.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
Build and sustain strongrelationships with high schools and career and technical centers within the assigned region to support Pre-College program growth and meetestablished outreach and enrollment goals. Engage and collaborate with educators and school leaders, to introduce, expand, andsupport Pre-College opportunities. Plan and deliver engagingpresentations to small and large groups of students, families, and school personnel to increase awareness, participation, and programinterest. Serve as a primary point of contact for partner and prospective schools, clearly communicating program offerings,partnership requirements, and participation processes. Support students and families throughout the Pre-College experience byproviding guidance, answering questions, assisting with registration, and ensuring high-quality, student-centered experience. Collaborate closely with internal teams across Pre-College, Enrollment, Academic Affairs, and Student Services to support coordinatedoutreach, student success, and continued program growth. Track outreach activities, partnerships, and student engagement usingCollege technology systems, travel within the assigned region as needed, and contribute to achieving program goals and strategic growthpriorities. Ability to work during high impact time periods and enrollment periods. All other duties as assigned.
KEY COMPETENCIES
Experience in recruiting, admissions, outreach, sales, or other relationship-based roles. Strong verbal and writtencommunication skills, with the ability to engage educators, students, and families effectively. Ability to work independently,manage multiple priorities, and adapt to the needs of schools and students. Willingness and ability to travel within the assignedregion (approximately 25-50%), including occasional overnight trips. Proficiency and confidence in using technology to supportpresentations, communications, tracking, and reporting.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree required
EXPERIENCE
Experience in higher education admissions, enrollment management, or student services. Familiarity with Pennsylvania K-12 schoolsystems or career and technical education (CTCs). Experience working with students and families in an educational or advisingcapacity. Comfort delivering presentations to small and large groups.
