Job Description

Job Summary The Worksite Trainer, an individual who demonstrates and reinforces general work skills, teaches students how to organize and complete assigned work tasks, monitors up to 4 students at a worksite to ensure that student and worksite needs are being met, and ensures the students have the support necessary to be successful. The MY Work is a summer employment program created by the PA Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) with the goal of providing high school students with disabilities the opportunity to work for their local municipality or non-profit. This is a summer position, working from June 15th through August 7th (8 weeks). A Worksite Trainer must have the following: a. A high school diploma or a GED and at least 2 years of experience with youth and/or adults with disabilities; or b. A bachelor's degree in psychology, disability services, social services, business, education or another related field; and c. Child clearances. The Job will involve supervising outdoor work, such as: Mowing, Landscaping, Pruning, Weed-Whacking, Painting, Placing/Stacking Bricks, Maintenance, Gardening Dedicated to the philosophy that adults with disabilities have a right to an Everyday Life, Lark Enterprises, Inc., a private, non-profit organization, has been providing vocational services for adults with disabilities for over 60 years. Qualifications and Skills Possess 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university or possess a high school diploma with at least two year's work experience in production/manufacturing, restaurant work, or retail and experience as a Direct Support Professional is a definite plus.
