POSITION OVERVIEW
The Universal Workforce Advisor is the first 1:1 point of contact for customers who are new to the PA CareerLink ® system. The Workforce Advisor conducts an introductory interview, assesses new customers' work readiness, and refers them to the next step in the process of working toward their employment goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide excellent customer service to new customers in the center. Conduct welcome interviews with all customers registering with CLNW. Review customer interests and inform customers of activities available at CLNW that can assist them in meeting their career goals. Inform customers about the self-directed services available in the Community Resource Center (CRC), workshops, and services available through other resources. Schedule customers to attend the next Welcome to PA CareerLink workshop if the customer is interested. Schedule customers to meet with a WIOA Workforce Advisor if needed. Assist customers with ID.me, unemployment compensation, logging in, merging accounts, and other technical support as needed. Assist with CASAS (Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment Systems) test scheduling and assist customers with completing education and training surveys. Provide intake and orientation support to new customers. Enter all data and case notes regarding services provided into the Commonwealth Workforce Development System (CWDS). Assist with Greeter and other welcome functions as needed. Assist with coverage of the CRC and other services as needed. Attend meetings as required. Other tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate Degree in human services field or minimum of three years of work experience in a related field; Good conversation skills, genial personality; Knowledge of
WIOA/TANF
regulations helpful; Sound knowledge of computer software programs. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
