Job Description

Delaware Valley Residential Care is currently seeking a Cognitive Therapist to meet the ever-changing social and therapeutic needs our program participants.
Shifts:
Sunday-Tuesday 7am-3pm Tuesday-Saturday 9am-5pm
Responsibilities:
Plan, Lead and facilitate team activities both in house and on outings Maximize residents' participation in groups and activities Counsels and encourages patients to develop leisure activities identify, address, de-escalate resident behaviors as necessary Compose Tally sheets, progress/service notes and all other necessary documents Prepares progress charts and periodic reports for medical staff and other members of treatment team
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, or a closely related Human Services field, required Driver's License and clean driving record, required 3 years of work experience working in the mental health field, preferred Ability to lead both group and 1:1 sessions Ability to maintain a positive attitude and promote a positive environment for both team members and participants Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled Demonstrated ability to remain calm in tense and high-pressure situations Proven track record of timeliness and accountability
