Asset Management Specialist I Job Summary:
As an Asset Management Specialist I, you will be helping to shape the future of laboratory design. You'll be part of a team that ensures cutting-edge lab facilities are equipped with the equipment they need to spur scientific breakthroughs. Beyond supporting laboratory equipment projects, including delivery and onboarding, at our client sites, you will collaborate with diverse teams such as lab planning, architecture, engineering, construction, and CQV teams to bring state-of-the-art labs to life.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Maintain equipment detail fields in Master Equipment Lists, ensuring all specifications, from dimensions and weight to utility requirements, are accurate and up to date. Communicate with the AMEP team for any updates to equipment that might impact design, ensuring efficient workflows.
Gather equipment documentation such as:
Site Prep Guides, Operator's Manuals, and Specification Sheets. Become proficient in client CMMS systems, ensuring accurate data entry and facilitating seamless equipment onboarding. Generate comprehensive documentation throughout the equipment lifecycle to support the onboarding of laboratory equipment. Create and manage equipment turnover packages from initial quotes to final installation records, including all associated equipment documentation. Inspect equipment deliveries, verify orders, and stage equipment for installation using a hands-on approach that guarantees accuracy and quality control. Required Skills /
Abilities:
Familiarity with cGMP regulations and standards preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment preferred.
Competencies:
Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are necessary to facilitate effective collaboration. Demonstrated organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Critical thinking, analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills to overcome challenges and ensure project success
Education and Experience:
BS/BA in Biology, Engineering, or a life science-related field preferred. 1-3 years of experience in life sciences, biotech, or related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this job include: Prolonged periods of sitting for laptop/computer work. Frequent (~60%) client site visits for vendor management and coordination activities. Working at the client sites 3-5 days per week.
