Position at a Glance We are seeking a dynamic Career Services Coordinator to lead the delivery of comprehensive workforce programs that prepare job seekers for in-demand industries. This role is ideal for a performance driven professional with strong project management expertise and workforce development experience. The Coordinator will coach staff, manage workflows, and ensure that program operations run with consistency and measurable impact. Success in this role requires the ability to apply project management principles to improve systems, monitor performance, and effectively manage cases to achieve productive employment outcomes. Scope of Responsibilities Leverage labor market data to identify high- demand industries and support job seekers in accessing those pathways. Review performance data and support the development of action plans to meet program goals. Deliver presentations and conduct orientation on eligibility, program services, and workforce opportunities. Coordinate special projects that enhance job seekers' experience, streamline processes, and expand service offerings. Apply project management principles to track caseloads, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely communication with job seekers. Serve as a liaison to training providers and partner organizations to strengthen service coordination. Provide technical guidance and coaching to staff managing high volume caseloads and quality service delivery. Maintain excellent customer service, accurate case documentation, and adherence to program standards. Prepare statistical data for strategy sessions, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts. Selection Criteria Bachelor's degree in human services, business, or a related field; relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education. Three years of experience in workforce development, providing direct services in a performance based environment. Minimum of two years' supervisory experience, including coaching, developing, and evaluating staff. Strong project management skills, including organizing workflows, tracking milestones, and meeting performance targets; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus. Thorough understanding and knowledge of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and its application in workforce programs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with the Maryland Workforce Exchange (MWE). Demonstrated success in meeting KPI and grant funded performance outcomes. Analyze labor market trends to identify high- demand industries and guide job seekers toward career pathways. Effective communication skills with the ability to motivate job seekers and support staff in delivering services.NOTE:
