Job Description
Career Transition Specialist The Career Transition Specialist assists Job Corps graduates with finding employment after completion of the Job Corps program.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist and provide career guidance to graduates or separating students, providing placement (employment, apprenticeship, and post-secondary education enrollment), and transition services. Establishes robust relationships with employers, community colleges, and other entities to ensure successful job, educational and military placements with good career pathway opportunities for economic self-sufficiency. Establishes thorough knowledge of and referrals to community-based services available to assist Job Corps graduates with successful transition into independent living. Provides positive, individualized services to Job Corps graduates and former enrollees and document case notes that reflect services provided. You are a good candidate if: You are motivated to help young adults meet their career goals You are able to take initiative, work independently with little supervision and you are able to manage your own time You are goal driven and enjoy exceeding performance expectationsKnowledge, Skills, and Capabilities:
Must be able to use a computer for scanning, entering information, and communicating with others Ability to work remotely Must have a car available during business hours as driving is a regular function of this position Have a valid driving license, clear driving record, and ability to drive for work purposes. Have a cell phone and internet access (we provide a communication stipend) Education Requirement Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or closely related field OR Associate's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or closely related field and two years related experience. This position is a hybrid position: work is remote with the exception of certain requirements for in-person meetings as necessary to perform the job throughout the week. The candidate for this position must be located within 25 miles of Curlew, Washington.We offer:
