KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate and Implement Student Accommodations and Support Services Conduct interactive processes and review accommodation requests in compliance with ADA guidelines. Manage and ensure delivery of reasonable accommodations, including alternate formats (electronic, audio, braille, large-print). Provide academic support by monitoring student progress and offering guidance. Lead Assistive Technology Services Oversee the selection, upgrade, and implementation of assistive technology. Recommend purchases and provide training to students on technology use. Foster Collaboration and Outreach Partner with faculty, campus departments, and external organizations to enhance student support. Present information effectively through workshops or outreach events. Travel between campuses to maintain equitable access to services. Maintain Operational Excellence and Compliance Manage confidential student records in a secure, accessible system. Demonstrate independent problem-solving and teamwork in complex situations. Perform additional duties as needed to support departmental goals.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor's degree in special education, social sciences, psychology, rehabilitation, or a related field, or three years of equivalent experience Strong knowledge of disabilities, assistive technology, and experience in higher education Familiarity with Section 504, ADA (1990, Amended 2010), and relevant laws Experience assessing disability documentation and determining accommodations Excellent teamwork, communication, organization, and computer skills, including assistive technology applications Passion for working with individuals with disabilities Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail. Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred
