Job Description
Join Our Team at You Show Us! You Show Us is a full-service regional staffing company based in Roanoke, Virginia, dedicated to empowering individuals through meaningful employment. Our Success Employment program specializes in providing employment support for adults with disabilities, helping them find and thrive in inclusive workplaces. We're currently seeking a compassionate and motivated individual to join our team in the Lynchburg area . This part-time position (25-32 hours/week) involves a dynamic blend of business development , job coaching , and employment support . Approximately 30% of your time will be remote , with the remainder spent working directly with local businesses to support our clients on the job. Duties:
- Conduct assessments and interviews to determine the employment needs and goals of individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
- Develop individualized employment plans and provide ongoing support to help individuals achieve their employment goals.
- Collaborate with employers to identify job opportunities and negotiate job placements for individuals.
- Provide training and support to individuals in areas such as job search strategies, resume writing, interview skills, and workplace etiquette.
- Advocate for individuals with employers to ensure they receive reasonable accommodations and fair treatment in the workplace.
- Monitor progress and provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to individuals to help them succeed in their jobs.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes.
Experience:
- Bachelor's or Associates degree in social work, psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Knowledge of employment labor laws and regulations.
- Experience in recruiting, training development, or workforce development.
- Familiarity with working with people with developmental disabilities or autism.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct interviews and assessments to determine employment needs and goals.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
