Job Description
Barber Family Counseling & Wellness is seeking graduate level practicum and internship students who are passionate about developing their clinical skills while working within a supportive and collaborative private practice environment. Our Student Internship Program is designed to provide meaningful clinical training, mentorship, supervision, and hands on experience serving diverse client populations. We understand that practicum and internship placements play a critical role in a clinician's development, and we are committed to helping students build confidence, strengthen their clinical skills, and prepare for successful careers in the mental health field. Many of our students choose to remain with the practice following graduation and candidacy, and historically approximately 90% of student clinicians who have pursued employment opportunities with the practice have been offered positions. While we welcome both practicum and internship students, we strongly prefer students who intend to remain with the practice throughout both phases of their clinical training to support continuity of care and maximize professional development opportunities.
