Job Description
Your primary responsibilities include:
Assisting graduate students in assessing their career and professional development goals, building job search strategies, developing resumes, and practicing interviewing skills, etc. based on the CPDC Assess/Brand/Connect learning outcomes model Creating, organizing and presenting career-related programs, workshops, career fairs and online learning content. Cultivating potential and developing existing relationships with employers to understand industry trends and recruiting needs Building and growing positive relationships with department heads, academic advisors, and faculty. Communicating openly and frequently with these partners Some travel may also be required for employer outreach and development Other duties as assigned Adaptability, excellence, and passion are vital qualities within Carnegie Mellon University. Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred Required experience: minimum 3-5 years of experience in college student development, career development, and/or counseling AND/OR in college recruiting or human resources management Analytical, organizational, reasoning, and problem-solving skills required In depth understanding of / experience with recruitment practices strongly preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills - especially in communicating to audiences from different cultures Ability to work independently on projects and function competently in a team environment required, time management and planning skills required Experience with Handshake CRM software and online content delivery programs (ex: Canvas) preferred A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.Requirements:

This position is operating on a hybrid schedule, with an on-campus/in office presence that fluctuates based on the academic calendar Typical work schedule is Monday-Friday from 8:30-5:00pm. An alternate work schedule allowing for evening and weekend hours will be required on occasion. We will begin review of applications immediately and will continue until an appointment is made.
