TX DRIVER LICENSE
REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) in English. A valid Texas Driver's License and an acceptable driving record Current current auto insurance, Means of transportation required.
PREFERRED
Six (6) months of related experience preferred; must be able to communicate well in English and Spanish; must possess excellent oral and written communication skills; must be able to exercise good judgment when faced with problem solving situations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans and provides training sessions for parents. Coordinates and implements District Wide parent training sessions at individual schools or at the other district/community locations. Assumes the responsibility for planning sessions and maintaining records and preparing reports. Assists in coordinating and planning for the District Parent Conferences. Assist Campus and District administration to comply with Title I-A requirements. Travel to various campuses and district sites. Plan, prepare, implement and coordinate for District Wide parent meetings and curriculum. Monitor parental involvement activities at assigned schools. Serve as liaison between schools and the Parent & Family Engagement Department. Provide continuous open communication between schools and the Parent & Family Engagement Department. Assist campus and district administration to identify parent needs. Assist parent liaisons to plan, coordinate and implement parent training sessions at assigned schools. Assist to identify parental involvement activities that will impact student achievement. Encourage and promote parent participation at the Campus and District level through meetings and committees. Monitor parent participation at the Campus and District level. Monitor campus parent volunteer clearance. Communicate with campus personnel of the importance of engaging parents in the educational process. Assist with the identification of at-risk students. Refer the identification of migrant, immigrant and homeless students to the proper department/personnel. Inform parents of available campus, district and community social services and resources. Communicate to the Campus Administrator and/or Parent & Family Engagement Director any concerns that need immediate attention. Prepare and submit reports regarding parental involvement activities of their assigned schools. Maintain required documentation of Campus and District Parent & Family Engagement activities. Prepares materials in English or Spanish for distribution to schools, as instructed by the Parent & Family Engagement Director. Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties. Maintains confidentiality. Maintains a high level of ethical behavior as is expected of all District employees. Maintains professional growth by attending in-service and meetings as requested/required. Performs any other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Director.
