Reporting to the Campus President, this position is responsible for establishing and maintaining robust partnerships with medical facilities to ensure the successful placement of students in externship opportunities. The Coordinator is instrumental in aligning externship experiences with program objectives, compliance standards, and student career goals. Key highlights of this role include: Building and sustaining strategic partnerships with healthcare organizations to facilitate externship placements. Ensuring a seamless and compliant externship process that adheres to state, federal, and accreditation standards. Providing direct support to students in their transition from academic learning to practical, hands-on experience. Collaborating with faculty, site supervisors, and Career Services to optimize student outcomes and employment opportunities. Serving as a critical liaison between the institution and the medical community, fostering relationships that enhance program credibility and student success. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the professional trajectory of LMRT students while contributing to the institution's mission of excellence in healthcare education. Develop and sustain externship site partnerships to ensure sufficient placement opportunities for LMRT students. Achieve a target of 40% of externship students being hired by their externship sites. Conduct routine site visits and maintain consistent communication with site supervisors to monitor student progress and address concerns. Ensure compliance with all relevant state, federal, and accreditation standards, including TWC and ABHES requirements. Organize and maintain comprehensive student records, including timesheets, evaluations, and feedback surveys. Coordinate and lead externship orientation sessions, acting as the primary liaison between students, faculty, and externship sites. Provide guidance to students on professionalism, resume writing, and interview preparation to enhance employability. Collaborate with Career Services to support graduate employment outcomes and track placement success rates. Maintain and update affiliation agreements and ensure accurate documentation within the CampusVue system. Provide ongoing counseling and tracking of students during their externship period, conducting final exit reviews to assess outcomes. Completion of a Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) Program or Certificate Program with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience, OR Completion of a Radiologic Technology Associate's Degree Program with at least 2 years of professional experience. Demonstrated proficiency in communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to effectively manage relationships and processes.
