Classroom Teaching Teaching Full Job Description Primary Purpose:
Responsible for coordinating, implementing and monitoring, analyzing, supporting, communicating, and continuously improving CCMR outcomes for assigned high school campuses. Incorporate and coordinate campus goals, support student achievement, and collaborate with campus and community partners to provide a clear path to CCM readiness for high school students.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelors degree from accredited university (Masters preferred) Valid Texas teaching certificate
Experience:
2 years experience as a classroom teacher at the high school level Knowledge of the Texas school accountability system, graduation criteria, and college readiness indicators
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Collaborate with campus personnel in the planning and administration of all college readiness exams Collaborate with campus personnel with the quality data review process and submissions/uploads of all college readiness exams Support both high school Go Centers with college fairs and college readiness tutorials Serve as the lead for Texas College Bridge Serve as the lead for UT On Ramps Assists with planning, organizing, and facilitating meaningful work-based learning experience opportunities through business/industry and community resources. Assist the CTE director with activities and events to promote CTE to the community. Collaborate with campus personnel in planning summer CCMR opportunities for students Maintain, monitor, and ensure accuracy in the tracking of campus CCMR indicators for 9-12 grades Track student progress toward successful completion of graduation plans, career course pathways and CCMR indicators Collaborate with lead counselors and counseling staff to gather pertinent college and career readiness information for students Collaborate with the career and technology campus staff on pertinent career and technology course pathways and certifications Attends staff development and professional activities to improve / maintain knowledge of content, instructional strategies, coaching skills, and adult learning theory.
