These services are provided in community-based employment settings and internships, helping students apply work-readiness skills in practical environments. This role involves both hands-on instruction and collaboration with employment partners and internal teams to ensure meaningful and successful transition outcomes. Specific Duties Provide direct instruction and coaching in off-campus job and internship settings to support vocational skill development aligned with Work Program Outcomes. Build and maintain strong working relationships with community employers and internship providers. Develop tools, strategies, and individualized support to help students thrive in community-based employment. Conduct formal and informal assessments to measure student progress toward employment-related goals. Evaluate assessment results and modify coaching or instruction as needed. Document student progress on the MAP (Mastery Assessment Plan) in a professional and timely manner. Use Mentor Toolbox strategies to support students facing behavioral or motivational challenges on the job. Collaborate with Service Coordinators to align employment experiences with student Transition Plans and make appropriate scheduling or service recommendations. Recommend additional specialist involvement when further interventions are needed. Provide regular progress updates and constructive feedback to students. Collect performance feedback from community employers and integrate it into student learning plans. Communication & Collaboration Maintain consistent and constructive communication with your assigned Supervisor and Service Coordinators. Communicate regularly with community worksite supervisors regarding student expectations, performance, and accommodations. Collaborate with internal staff during formal office hours, team meetings, and through email, text, or phone communication. Notify Service Coordinators of Outcomes/Goals students will be working on at their off-campus site. Communicate student needs, progress, and any concerns promptly to ensure effective team support. Qualifications No minimum education required. Must be capable of fulfilling all job duties as described. Pay increases may be available based on education level or relevant experience. Physical Requirements Ability to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to travel to and work in various community-based employment sites, which may involve walking, standing for extended periods, or navigating different work environments. Willingness to work in outdoor or indoor settings with varying conditions depending on job placement. Ability to bend, kneel, or demonstrate physical tasks in order to model appropriate work behaviors and skills for students.
