We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic person interested to provide job-embedded support, training, and modeling to Career and Technical (CTE) teachers to enhance content knowledge and instructional strategies resulting in improved student learning, to develop and implement high-quality learning and technical experiences and provides support to principals and teachers by analyzing student work and data and assists in planning professional development opportunities. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
1. Demonstrate the ability and willingness to monitor, evaluate, and supervise high school students and support teachers in implementing effective instructional strategies in specialized career and technical training experiences in classroom, shop and lab settings. 2. A bachelor's degree in education, in a K-12 core curriculum. Master's degree preferred. 3. Minimum of five years of teaching experience at high school level with a strong understanding of the VCTC Program of Studies and the CTE competencies is required. 4. Demonstrate evidence of the leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary to work effectively with high school students, parents, educational partners, and school administration.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE
? Documented history of professional development and teacher leader activities. ? Documented history of work with curriculum development. ? Examples of implementation of instructional initiatives and best practice. ? Knowledge and experience using a variety of assessment tools and analyzing student data. ? Strong planning, organizational, and collaborative skills; ability to manage multiple projects. ? Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. ? Knowledgeable of purposeful technology use in the classroom. ROLES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
? Provide instructional coaching and professional development to support continuous improvement in CTE teaching practices. ? Deliver individual and group learning opportunities, including modeling effective instructional strategies and lessons. ? Support teachers in implementing educational initiatives, programs, and inclusive teaching practices. ? Analyze and interpret student achievement and assessment data to identify instructional needs and guide intervention planning. ? Assist teachers in developing curriculum materials aligned with state and local standards. ? Foster collaborative relationships among teachers, administrators, and staff with a focus on student success. ? Promote ongoing professional growth through coaching, mentoring, and training opportunities. ? Stay current on innovative instructional strategies through workshops, conferences, and professional learning. ? Monitor and evaluate student progress, identify learning needs, and implement targeted intervention strategies. ? Build positive relationships with students to support motivation and achievement. ? Coordinate and oversee industry credentialing assessments and related processes. ? Support data collection, analysis, and reporting for students. ? Ensure compliance with FERPA and maintain confidentiality of student information. ? Continuously apply current research and best practices in for evidence-based decision making in CTE instruction and workforce development. This is a fulltime position to begin immediately.
