Job Description

Implements and follows systematic training according to program plan requirements (i.e. habilitation plans, program plans) Train individuals on specific work requirements according to the employment program placement Conducts on-going assessment of the client's work skills against the demands of the work site Supervises a client for a variety of work including janitorial and/or food service and delivery, dining area services, etc. Completes all necessary data entry and paperwork within the time frame required Relates problems, concerns, program ideas, or other items of interest in a timely manner to the Behavioral Support Professionals Participates in periodic staff training on time and as scheduled Attends IDT meetings to provide input as to the client's performance as requested Provide transportation services for clients utilizing Agency and/or personal vehicle and follow the guidelines as outlined in the transportation manual Assist an individual in a restroom, with personal or food items during breaks, with money, or as a physical support as needed May substitute for a client's work assignment on a contract as needed
QUALIFICATIONS A
High School diploma or GED required A desire to work in a mission-based non-profit organization preferred, training in a human services field of study a plus Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred Experience working in some aspect of food services, Knowledge of kitchen terminology preferred Demonstrated ability to prepare clear and descriptive written documentation Demonstrated ability to give clear instructions in an encouraging tone Experience using computer applications, experience using a web-based application preferred Able to accommodate a flexible work schedule as needed Able to obtain a Food Handlers' Permit Able to pass a Criminal Background Check Must be able to participate and pass trainings to include but not limited to First Aid, CPR and CCM training A valid driver's license and must be willing to transport clients for food service related deliveries and activities
