In this vital role, you will provide attentive, respectful assistance to residents in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care settings. Your positive attitude and proactive approach will foster a safe, comfortable environment that promotes independence and well-being for those you serve. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with diverse populations, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those living with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols Support residents with meal preparation and feeding to promote proper nutrition and hydration document care activities, observations, and resident progress clearly and promptly Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to enhance mental health and emotional well-being Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and ensuring infection control standards are met Implement behavior management strategies for residents with dementia or developmental disabilities to promote calmness and cooperation Support emergency procedures including first aid response when necessary and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals or emergency responders Qualifications Prior experience in senior care, assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is preferred Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional training in medication administration. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and professionalism Valid driver's license for roles involving transportation or community outings is a plus Join us in delivering exceptional care that enriches lives every day!
